You don’t get handed
to a junior.
You get me — every time.

Most agencies will tell you that you’ll work with their best people. Then introduce you to someone who graduated last year. That’s not how this works.

Picnic Designs is a full-service creative studio run by a single creative director, based in Retford, Nottinghamshire. Every brief lands with me. Every piece of work leaves with my name on it. No account managers, no juniors, no committee between the idea and the execution.

I’ve spent years in the industry watching great work get diluted by process. Picnic Designs exists to give regional businesses access to the kind of strategic, considered creative that used to require a six-figure agency budget.

THE PHILOSOPHY.
Strategy before aesthetics.
Beautiful work that doesn’t serve a purpose is just decoration. Every creative decision should be answerable: why this typeface, why this colour, why this headline?
Honest relationships over managed ones.
I talk to my clients directly, tell them what I think, and trust them to do the same. Creative partnerships built on honesty produce better work and last longer.
Work that serves the client’s business.
The studio portfolio is not the point. Awards are not the point. The point is whether the work achieved what the client needed it to achieve. That’s the only metric that matters.
